Kristy, one of the Design Team members at the shoe has a great challenge going on right now. She's challenge us to create an ATC of freedom and what it means to us. Of course there have been patriotic entries to her challenge and a great ATC about the freedom of, or lack of, circus animals. So mine goes more along the lines of patriotism. I used a great image I found of sailors waving to family upon their return home. When I think of freedom I think of all the sacrifices our military has to give up. My husband is in the Navy and sacrifices his time with me and his son to support the war in Iraq. We are only free because we have men and women and their families who sacrifice some of the simplest things in life to fight for it. So here it is.

The Shoe had their first great week back from vacation! I've already shared with you the LO challenge from Monday and here is what I made for the card challenge on Wednesday. They decided to use the same sketch to see how we could change things up between our LO's and our cards. I thought it was a clever idea! It shows just how versatile all the wonderful sketches we use as scrappers don't have to be just for a LO or just for card. Any sketch can translate to any medium! So here is my card that I created using the same sketch as the LO!

Okay so the Shoe is back! They took a little vacation so they could revamp the site and it looks awesome!!! They also made some changes to the Design Team and I'm really excited about all the new things going on over there! So this was their first week back and they started things off with a great sketch. So here is the sketch and what I came up with! Enjoy and thanks for looking!

There are some great things going on over at The Shoe. We were given this great tutorial on how to turn a plain 16x20 canvas into a great alphabet collage for a children's room. Here is what mine looks like.
Then we were given the challenge to create a LO inspired by the tutorial. So this is what I came up with. These were really easy projects and really fun as well. I will probably use it again!

This LO came out of a sketch and elements challenge from my Cafe Mom group Scrap Happy (if your on Cafe Mom and not in this group, JOIN!). We had to follow a sketch given to us and also incorporate 3 flowers and chipboard. So obviously I've got the three flowers on the left side of the LO and I've got a chipboard title going down the page. I really love the way this LO came out. It was meant to be for sure. These pictures just were the right size for the sketch and the right feel and the paper went so perfectly with them. This is definitely one of my favorites.
