SO Excited!!

So on one of my Cafe Mom groups (ScrapNMoms) every week the group of admins choose a LO of the week to be featured and used as the groups avatar. I'm so excited to say that this week one of my LO's was chosen and just a couple weeks ago my ENTIRE gallery was chosen. They call them Scrappmistresses. I'm so excited to be getting so much recognition for my LO's. It's definitely an ego boost, one I think I needed! Here is the LO they chose for this week's Avatar.

Some new stuff

This LO came from a challenge created by myself for the Scrapbook Challenges group on Cafe Mom. We have many different color challenges, technique challenges and sketches on our group so I decided to pick one of each (grey, green and blue; chalk popping, sketch #23) to create a challenge. The challenge lasts a month to give enough time for everyone to come up with something really great and if there are enough participants then there will be a voting poll and small prize!
This LO came from a kit challenge. One of my other groups on Cafe Mom will be having a cyber crop in May and one of the challenges was to create a LO with a kit sent to use and a sketch assigned. The items that I used from the kit are the rose patterned paper, the two flowers, the black cardstock, the rose image in the bottom corner, the black butterfly, and the two red heart brads.

This was a fun LO to do. This was another challenge from one of my groups on Cafe Mom. We were given a half map (6x12 sketch from pagemaps.com) and then told to convert it into a full sized LO while trying to keep our background minimal.

This is another challenge for our cyber crop in May on Cafe Mom. This is a "book about me" challenge that will go week to week. Each week there will be a new sketch and new theme to help us scrap ourselves. Since this was the first page I thought it was perfect to use a baby picture of myself on my birthday! I really love the way this one turned out. Cross your fingers that I win!!!

This LO came from one of the April Challenges from the gals at Simply Scrapping This was challenge #6 to use a one word title and use photos depicting that one word. For me this one was easy!!! What do I have an abundance of in my house GREEN!! So i just walked around the house taking pictures of all my green things and then made this LO which I love. What a perfect way to scrap my favorite color!

This LO came from a challenge on Cafe Mom as well. We were given the song My Wish by Rascal Flats as inspiration. We were to use at least something in the song as part of the title. As I read the lyrics to the song the line "show the world the warmth of your smile" reached out and grabbed me. I love the way this LO turned out.

Recipe Swap and Ad Challenge

This first one is a recipe card that I made for a recipe swap with the Homemade Cards & Scrapbooking group on Cafe Mom. It's a family recipe for Cornish Pasties, which is a big thing with my family, it's always a special dinner when your having pasties!

This LO was for one of the April Challenges with the gals over at Simply Scrapping this was challenge #3-Scrap a magazine ad. This one was a little difficult to do for me but I like the way it turned out but I'm not in love with it.

Here was my ad:

And this is my LO:

Small Square Pocket Card

This was a challenge from the girls at If The Shoe fits...Scrap It!. We were given a link for instruction on how to make a Small Square Pocket Card done by Dawn Mercedes. This was a really fun card and I would love to make more in the future. It's perfect for gift cards as the gals mentioned.

April's Challenge #1

This was another April Challenge from the Simply Scrapping blog. This was challenge #1 which was to create a LO using yellow as the main color. This also is a sketch challenge from one of my cafe mom groups. The sketch totally inspired me on the theme and once I decided the theme (things I look forward to during Easter) then I realized that yellow would be a great main color for it and that I could kill two birds with one stone. Each specifically for their challenges but two challenges in one!!

SOOO Proud of this one!!

Okay so this LO came from a Challenge in my Scrapbooks Challenge group on Cafe Mom. Our week long on-line crop started today and one of the challenges for today was spring countdown. We had to use 6 flowers, 5 buttons, 4 stickers (no words or alpha's), 3 photos, 2 patterned paper, and 1 ribbon or lace. The layout was also supposed to be related to spring. I had no idea what I was going to do but then on the drive home from church I thought maybe journaling my 10 favorite things about spring time. Then from there I knew what paper would be great, which looks like binder paper with flowers on it so I thought writing like a highschooler all cool would be a nice touch. Then for the flowers I just placed them over the same colored flowers that were printed on the paper (lucky me there were six), the buttons I placed near the title and the photos, the stickers are hard to see they are white glitter stars that are place by the number 1, 4, 7 and 10, the three photos are things that reminded me of my list I found on the Internet and printed here at home, my 2 papers are the base paper and the green diamond paper, and I have 1 ribbon behind the green flower. I REALLY like the way this came out!! Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Color Challenge 4/3

This was for the color challenge from the gals at If The Shoe fits...Scrap It!. Every Friday they chose a color combo for us to use in a LO. This weeks colors were red and blue. I was a little stumped because I'm still trying to get last years scrapbook done and I'm left with only my thanksgiving pictures from November. So I went ahead and did the LO without a picture and had to print one up at Walgreen's to add to it. Anywho, I like the way it turned out!! Enjoy!

April's Card Challenge

This is another challenge from Simply Scrapping. This is also a part of the monthly challenge this is challenge #2-Create a Card Challenge. We had to use 3 circles of different sizes, 2 buttons, a stamped image/sentiment, plain ribbon and stickles. This was a fun challenge to do and I got to use a new stamp that I've been anxious to use. Hope you enjoy!

April's Altered Challenge

This was a challenge from the Simply Scrapping Blog. The ladies have put up multiple challenges for the month of April. There's a wonderful prize involved. I chose to start with challenge #7-The Altered Challenge. We had to alter a square box and include flowers, a butterfly and ribbon or a doily. Here is what I came up with. I'm really happy with the way it turned out and it was really fun to make it!
